Scott Haldane is YMCA Canada's new President and Chief Executive
Officer. His 33-year YMCA career has taken him from the West
Island of Montréal where he began as a lifeguard, youth worker and
branch executive, to the national office where he directed
employment initiatives, and to Hamilton/Burlington as President and
Chief Executive Officer before taking on the same role for the YMCA
of Greater Toronto for the past seven years.
Scott has worked alongside YMCA volunteers, staff and community
partners to raise millions of dollars, build new facilities, expand
services, influence public policy and increase access to essential
YMCA programs. These experiences have prepared him for his
new role at YMCA Canada, including working collaboratively with
YMCA colleagues and leaders in the public, private and voluntary
sectors to improve the health of people - especially children and
youth - and their communities.
