Voices for Peace

Since 1987, over 1,100 individuals and groups have received YMCA Peace Medallions during YMCA Peace Week. Without any special resources, status, wealth or position, these people have demonstrated a commitment to peace through special contributions made in their communities or overseas.

In this booklet, recipients of awards share their reflections, insights and experiences about peace. Voices for Peace is a resource for anyone interested in creating a better world. We hope the ideas inspire you to make peace a part of your daily life.
